Don’t Stop Believin’

It seems that since we posted our Glee news yesterday, even more updates came in about the same topics. More Glee news, more interviews, and more spoilers ahead!

1. Journey to Regionals EP Tops Billboard Chart

63867269This is now the third consecutive Glee album to debut at #1 on the Billboard Top 200 Charts. Congrats Glee!

“The ‘Journey to Regionals’ EP debuts at No. 1 with 152,000 sold according to Nielsen SoundScan, besting the “Eclipse” album at No. 2 with 144,000…Last week, industry prognosticators initially thought “Eclipse” was a good bet for No. 1, with a possible first week tally of around 140,000 to 160,000, while “Glee” was aiming for a number in the range of 110,000 to 130,000. As it turns out, while “Eclipse” performed to expectations, the “Glee” album bested the predictions and held up better through the week than anticipated.”

2. Chris Colfer with DVR Playgroud

There’s been a lot of Emmy talk surrounding your character Kurt. Have you thought about the possibility that you could be nominated?
Chris Colfer: I don’t know what I would do with that. I don’t want to think about it because I’d probably go crazy. It has been such an incredible, incredible year, and I couldn’t ask for more, but I think that’s a dream of any actor.

3. Jenna and Kevin with Digital Spy UK

At the Monte Carlo TV Festival, Jenna Ushkowitz and Kevin McHale each sat down with Digital Spy (UK) to talk about Glee, its success, and what they’d like to see from the show in the future. Digital Spy didn’t make the videos available to embed, so you’ll have to go to their site to watch them. Check them out!

4. Ian Brennan Talks Glee

“We have hilarious, awesome people coming up. One of them who agreed to come do it is so fantastic. Most of this stuff will be settled pretty soon and maybe you’ll know who I’m talking about.”

lea_michele_dorothy_of_oz_character_sketches_06Almost as soon as the announcement came that Lea Michele was cast as the voice of Dorothy in the new animated 3D film, Dorothy of Oz, a new website for the film has been launched, and early sketches of the characters have been released. The film features a star-studded cast which includes Kelsey Grammar, Martin Short, Dan Akroyd, Hugh Dancy, Jim Belushi, and Patrick Stewart.

7. Early Review of Karaoke Revolution: Glee Video Game

“While the game’s concept is simple, fans of the show and its music will find a lot to love here. The game is loaded with fan service, including an animation of Jane Lynch as cheerios coach Sue Sylvester shouting into a loudspeaker during the loading screen. Even the multiplier bonus awarded for receiving a perfect score on segments of a song is displayed as letters of the word “Glee” that light up with each additional multiplier. Karaoke Revolution: Glee will also feature a story mode that will allow players to relive iconic moments from the show while singing along to the songs they love. While this title won’t appeal to everyone, Glee fans should definitely keep an eye out for this Wii-exclusive title set to launch this holiday season.”

8. Spoiler Round-Up: Leona Lewis Cameo?

No confirmation from the Glee producers on this, but Broadway World is eager to repost the Mirror.co.uk’s claim that Leona Lewis is Glee’s next confirmed cameo. BWW has been known to jump the gun and report rumor as fact before, so it’s best to wait until other sources confirm this before getting excited about “The X Factor” champ coming to Glee.
